Chapter Light in Arabia, No 3870

Royal Arch or Chapter is often referred to as the fourth, or completion of the third, degree in Freemasonry as entrance to this order requires the candidate to have reached the degree of a Master Mason in Craft and must have been so for the period of one month. However entrance to this order is not mandatory and many Freemasons choose not to join, therefore not every Craft Lodge will have an associated Chapter.

Chapter Light in Arabia was consecrated in Aden on the 14th May 1937 and transferred to Croydon, in the Province of Surrey, in November 1967 and principally draws its members from Lodge Light in Arabia, No 3870 and Woodcote Epsom Lodge, No 6293. The Chapter also welcomes new and joining members from other Lodges and Chapters.

Regular meetings are held on the first Friday of February, November (Installation) and December with the February and December meetings being held prior to Lodge Light in Arabia meetings that are held on the same day. Chapter members, referred to as Companions, who are not members of Lodge Light in Arabia are not obliged to attend the lodge meeting but will find a very warm welcome should they wish to do so and at the following Festive Board.

If you are a Master Mason and would like to join Royal Arch, or a Companion looking to visit, you will receive a very warm welcome at this very friendly Chapter.
